Volunteers needed to restore ecosystems in southern Spain

Ecosystem Restoration Camps is a non-profit organisation founded by a movement of people who wanted an action-based solution to address accelerating climate change.

To work together to restore ecological functionality (natural infiltration and retention of all available rainfall and moisture, fertile organic soils and returning complete vegetative cover of trees and grasses) to designated areas and to build “Research, Training and Innovation Centers for Ecological Restoration” to engage people in inquiry into ecological restoration, to train people in existing techniques and for the innovation of new techniques for restoring degraded lands in perpetuity.

The camps are a practical, hands on way to restore land degraded by humans. Our mission is to work with local communities and build camps that transform bare, deserted landscapes into lush, abundant, life-giving ecosystems. We are committed to preserving our planet for future generations.

Current volunteer opportunities exist at their first camp, in Altiplano, Spain.
