WANTED: 3 positions with new Business Improvement District (Cardiff, Wales)

A new business improvement district, Cardiff BID in Cardiff, Wales, is seeking candidates for the following three positions:

Executive Director / Salary up to £65,000
The Executive Director will provide strategic Leadership and management of the Cardiff BID, working with BID Businesses, City Centre Partners, Public Agencies and Service Providers. A high profile role, you will be responsible for a £7.5 million budget, and leading a team to develop and deliver the business plan. Alongside experience of managing a large company or location you will have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build relationships at both a strategic and operational level. You will also be comfortable and confident in networking and stakeholder management at Director / CEO level, with strong influencing and negotiating skills. The ideal candidate would be educated to degree level or equivalent, with at least 3 years experience at a senior level within a Place Management organisation or a large commercial or location/destination based environment. You will have demonstrable knowledge and experience of company, people and financial management. Ideally you will have experience of dealing with both public and private sectors. This role is an exciting and unique opportunity for a dynamic experienced leader to drive forward the Cardiff BID, and become an integral part of shaping the future of Cardiff City Centre.

Marketing & Communications Manager / Salary up to £40,000
We require a Marketing & Communications Manager to develop, support, manage and execute the Marketing, PR & Communication Strategy for the Cardiff BID in conjunction with the Executive Director. With a ‘can do’ attitude, you will be able to work to deadline in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent communications skills. You will have at least 2 years experience within a place management or commercial organization, ideally with contacts in media and associated networks. You will have knowledge and confidence in utilizing the latest online and digital platforms. Confident in engaging and presenting to both B2B and B2C audiences, you will also be comfortable in working with third party contracts and partners to deliver campaigns and projects from conception to delivery. Knowledge and an ability to communicate in Welsh would be advantageous.

Project Administrator / Salary up to £30,000
We require a high level Project Administrator to assist and support the Executive Director, Team and Board with operational and administrative duties as well as assistance on specified projects. The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for organizational and office support and functions. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will have experience of working in a similar role within the public or private sectors. This post would suit a confident, organized person with a methodical approach to their work. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages is essential and experience of financial packages such as Sage and the like will be advantageous.
