WANTED: Coastal Resilience Program Manager for national wildlife habitat conservation and restoration non-profit (Annapolis, MD)

To support our mission, we seek a Coastal Resilience Program Manager to join our Mid-Atlantic Regional Center in Annapolis, Maryland.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing the National Wildlife Federation’s approach to coastal resilience across the Mid-Atlantic region. You will work to promote the application of climate-smart conservation practices in wildlife and habitat conservation and restoration, and the use of natural and nature-based approaches for protecting human communities from the impacts of climate change. You will be part of a national team at NWF focused on addressing and mitigating the impacts of climate change on wildlife, natural systems, ecosystem services, and human communities and will work on projects of regional and national significance.

As our Program Manager you will be responsible for providing expert technical and scientific advice, locating and analyzing data, preparing reports and other written products, and disseminating key findings to professional and general audiences. In addition you will also be responsible for helping to identify and secure foundation and government funding opportunities to advance the program.

Travel Requirements: There will be regional travel required in this role, approximately 20% of the time.

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience, in the range of $65,000 – $70,000. The National Wildlife Federation offers excellent benefits, including 16 weeks of paid FMLA leave, competitive compensation, and a family-friendly, flexible work environment.
