New Kensington Community Development Corporation (NKCDC) seeks a Commercial Corridor Coordinator for its Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office.
NKCDC strengthens the physical, social and economic fabric of Kensington, Fishtown and Port Richmond, Philadelphia, by being a catalyst for sustainable development and community building. We believe in a multi-faceted approach to neighborhood revitalization, working with housing counseling, real estate development, vacant land management, community engagement and neighborhood planning as well as economic development.
The Commercial Corridor Coordinator will lead all NKCDC’s commercial corridor management and projects in Kensington north of Lehigh Avenue. In this role, you will maintain relationships with developers and civic leaders to ensure that we adhere to the strategies, values and initiatives for equitable development established through our Sustainable Communities Initiative collaboration with leading nonprofit partners.
You will assist NKCDC’s efforts generally and the Economic Development Director in particular to improve the community’s economic condition, including neighborhood redevelopment efforts, planning, communication, outreach and business attraction.
