Over the last 4 years, LURN has grown its three programmatic divisions; LURN Labs, its advocacy and convening arm; LURN Capital, its economic development arm; and LURN Advisors, its in-house consulting practice that services mission-driven companies. Together, the organization has helped to lead important advocacy efforts to support micro-entrepreneurs and responsible land-use, launched three economic development initiatives to support micro-entrepreneurs in their pursuit of capital and better financial products.

Low-income communities are facing historic challenges: escalating housing costs, fears of gentrification and displacement, and accelerating income inequality; the team at LURN is looking for a leader and expert who can help the organization contribute to the growing movement of community organizations and urbanists who are looking for solutions.

The Director of Programs & Operations will be responsible for ensuring that the organization is executing effectively in all of its initiatives. Working alongside the Executive Director, the Director of Programs & Operations will be responsible for supporting LURN’s team members, consultants, and community partners in making sure that the organization is surpassing its programmatic goals while maintaining a work environment that preserves LURN’s values and philosophy: curiosity, empathy, courage, perseverance, impact, and excellence.

LURN offers a competitive salary and benefits, commensurate with experience.
