WANTED: Ecological restoration project manager (Arizona)

American Conservation Experience (ACE) is seeking a Restoration Project Manager to work in the Southwest region with extensive background working with conservation corps in the field. Qualified candidates must have the ability to handle concurrent operations in a fast paced environment, the determination to encourage and enforce compliance with all elements of ACE’s safety policies, and the skills to train and develop ACE’s corps members.

ACE is a rapidly growing, dynamic, national non-profit organization with the reputation for providing professionally supervised crews and career-minded AmeriCorps members to undertake critical natural resource management projects for federal, state, and local agencies. ACE’s national headquarters is located in Flagstaff, AZ and operates crew branches in California, Utah, and North Carolina. ACE’s emerging Professional Internship Corps conducts field activities and internships nation-wide.

The Restoration Project Manager will focus on preparing and supporting ACE’s projects on a variety of restoration projects throughout the southwest states where current projects are taking place. This position is a field based position that will spend 70% of work time working and supporting restoration crews in the field and 30% of work time working with the ACE staff in preparing for restoration projects. The Restoration Program Manager will report to the National Restoration Program Manager and work directly with the Southwest Branch Operation Manager’s to coordinate day to day and project specific priorities.
