WANTED: Ecological Restoration Projects Coordinator for non-profit (WA)

The Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust is hiring a Restoration Projects Coordinator.

The Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust’s Restoration Projects Coordinator supports ongoing ecological restoration site maintenance throughout the Greenway. Project work includes: ensuring the long-term maintenance of 50+ restoration sites the Greenway Trust currently manages; managing conservation corps crews and Individual Placements, volunteers, and contractors to complete site maintenance; completing project site reporting (maintenance and mitigation); and managing the Greenway Trust’s native plant nursery.

The right candidate is a team player who demonstrates on-the-ground experience in ecological restoration, strong organizational skills, volunteer and intern mentoring or supervision, attention to detail and a passion for connecting people and the outdoors. This candidate will demonstrate flexibility and adaptability by working with staff and external partners to build positive, collaborative, ongoing relationships. The candidate will be very dependable, with the ability to work on multiple tasks and meet deadlines. The Greenway Trust is seeking a candidate who has a passion for learning and growing in the organization.

ABOUT THE MOUNTAINS TO SOUND GREENWAY TRUST: The Mountains to Sound Greenway is the 1.5 million-acre landscape connecting Puget Sound and central Washington. The Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust leads and inspires action to conserve and enhance the Greenway, ensuring a long-term balance between people and nature. Founded in 1991, the Greenway Trust works to promote public land acquisitions, connect a continuous regional trail system, preserve rural lifestyles, teach people of all ages about forests and wildlife, and mobilize thousands of volunteers to care for the landscape. The Greenway Trust is leading a bipartisan campaign to have the U.S. Congress designate the Mountains to Sound Greenway as a National Heritage Area.

Salary range: $40,000 – 45,000/year
