WANTED: Executive Director for downtown revitalization non-profit (New Mexico)

The Gallup (New Mexico) Main Street/Arts and Cultural District board seeks a dynamic, experienced Executive Director to lead its downtown revitalization effort in close conjunction with its board of directors.

This organization is located in Gallup, NM, a community of 22,000 in beautiful, mountainous northern New Mexico, and nestled between the Navajo Nation and Pueblo of Zuni.

Gallup Main Street is an official, state-certified New Mexico Main Street organization.

Responsibilities include: Direct the Four-Point-Based revitalization efforts in Design, Promotion, Economic Positioning, and Organization; Work in conjunction with downtown property owners, businesses, non-profit organizations, and volunteers to carry out a variety of special events and other activities that support the district; Publicize the work and accomplishments of the Main Street/Arts and Cultural District organization; Coordinate the operation of the Main Street/Arts and Cultural organization; Engage leaders at all levels of government and the community; Other related duties as assigned.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week). Must be able to work evenings/weekends. Travel is required.
Salary is $40,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
