WANTED: Executive Director for community revitalization non-profit (Florida)

Groundwork Jacksonville is seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial, culturally competent and collaborative individual to serve as its Executive Director.

Inspired by the Mayor’s administration in 2013, Groundwork Jacksonville, Inc. is a partnership between the City of Jacksonville, U.S. National Park Service, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and Groundwork USA, Inc.

It is part of the Groundwork USA network. Groundwork Trusts across the nation turn brownfields into parks, gardens and greenways; restore urban waterways and water systems; create neighborhood infrastructure for active living; expand local food production and access; and advance equitable development.

We are seeking applicants for a full-time management position. The Executive Director will, in cooperation with the Board of Directors, lead Groundwork Jacksonville in day -to- day operations, short-term and long-term planning, and will be primarily responsible for obtaining funding to build the organization and grow and expand its successful projects and programs.

The Executive Director will advance the organization’s vision through fundraising and marketing, assisting with Board governance, planning and supervising projects, supervising staff, managing the organization’s finances and accounting (with external support), maintaining and creating new community partnerships.

Location: Jacksonville, Florida

Salary range: $45,000 to $60,000
