WANTED: Executive Director for neighborhood revitalization non-profit (Detroit, MI)

The Grandmont Rosedale Development Corporation (GRDC) in Detroit, Michigan is currently seeking candidates for the position of Executive Director. Executive Director is the chief executive officer of the corporation and reports directly to the Board of Directors.

GRDC is a resident-driven organization founded in 1989. Today, it is widely recognized as one of the area’s most accomplished and effective community development corporations. Our programmatic strategies address a wide range of community development issues, including: residential area stabilization, housing preservation, commercial revitalization, small business development, public safety, public space improvement and community engagement.

Competitive candidates will have five or more years of experience in a leadership role within the non-profit, community development or related sectors. Proven experience with fundraising, personnel management, financial management, effective communication and strategic planning is a must. Experience with single family housing renovation, home ownership programs, commercial revitalization programs, retail or mixed use development and/or other types of real estate development projects is strongly desired.

All candidates must also have a passion for neighborhood development in Detroit and a strong commitment to working cooperatively with grass-roots leaders and organizations to affect community change.
