WANTED: Full-time / permanent climate resilience consultant (Munich, Germany)

Amec Foster Wheeler is currently recruiting a Principal Climate Resilience Consultant to be based in our Munich, Germany office.

We are seeking to expand our international environmental policy, economics and sustainability teams by appointing a Principal Consultant specialising in climate resilience, climate risk assessment and adaptation. Also, we are intending to grow our regional footprint in Southern Germany and Austria and therefore we combine this role with the leadership role of the office manager for Munich with a strong focus on Business Development activities.

Our European team is at the forefront of providing policy, technical, sustainability and economic advice on the development and implementation of environmental policy and climate change. As well as climate resilience, the team focuses on air quality, chemicals, water policy, infrastructure and sustainable development. We work with the European Commission, UK and other European government departments, international agencies, trade associations, multi-national companies and corporations across Europe and beyond.

The ideal candidate will be qualified to a Master’s degree level or above in a climate-related discipline; environmental policy, climate science, engineering, law, environmental economics, social sciences, geography or a closely related subject. We would typically expect 8 to 10 years’ of relevant experience within consultancy, government, research or industry.
