WANTED: Marine ecosystems restoration coordinator (California)

Orange County Coastkeeper is seeking a part-time Marine Restoration Coordinator, who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of designing, planning, implementing, managing, and monitoring the organization’s efforts to restore eelgrass, oyster, and other Southern California near shore habitats.

This unique position requires a highly self-motivated individual who is interested in growing, leading, and sustaining the organization’s restoration program. It is the organization’s ambition to expand the program, and with successful expansion, there would be an opportunity for the position to become full-time.

Coastkeeper is a nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to protecting water quality and promoting sustainable water resources by implementing a diverse slate of education, advocacy, research, restoration, and enforcement programs.

This position is based in Coastkeeper’s Costa Mesa, California office, but requires some local travel for project implementation, field visits, and interface with partner agencies.
