The Ironbound Community Corporation (ICC) is a 47 year non-profit organization whose mission is to engage and empower individuals, families and groups in realizing their aspirations and, together, work to create a just,vibrant and sustainable community.
Our organization operates two Family Success Centers (FSC) in the Ironbound community of Newark, New Jersey which provide a range of services and programs to support and strengthen families.
ICC is seeking a full-time Program Manager to work closely with the FSC Center Director and the Director of Community Development & Environmental Justice to coordinate, manage and work collaboratively with diverse staff members, coordinate key events and activities at the Center and as well as help deliver direct services to clients.
He/She will also be responsible for coordinating and conducting outreach along with other staff members to enlist engagement from a wide spectrum of people in the community (public housing tenants, new immigrants, families, longtime residents, etc.) across a broad spectrum of issues (i.e. parenting skills, health, youth activities, environmental justice, etc.).
The program manager will oversee neighborhood revitalization efforts, including family services, youth development, and community building activities including daily functions, coordination of key FSC activities, after-school programming at the adjacent Hawkins Street School, supervising, and managing staff and deliver high quality services to residents in need.
