WANTED: Project Manager for Stream Restoration Planning (New York City)

A Project Manager for Stream Restoration Planning is being sought by the Natural Resources Group (NRG), a division within NYC Parks & Recreation.

NRG is responsible for acquisition, protection, restoration, and management of remnant and restored natural areas within the nearly 29,000 acres of City parkland. NRG develops natural areas management and restoration programs and provides technical research that aids in the protection of the City’s natural resources.

NRG has a full-time 1.5 year position available (with potential for extension), to implement wetland assessment and planning projects with the aim of meeting environmental and community-oriented goals. These goals include characterizing NYC’s freshwater streams, identifying and prioritizing opportunities for wetland and riparian restoration and stormwater management.

Start date: May 1, 2017
Salary: $27.37 to $38.31 per hour (commensurate with experience)
