WANTED – Urban regeneration manager (UK)

The city of Derby, England is seeking a Regeneration Manager.

Derby City Council is committed to pursuing economic development and regeneration in order to promote job creation, business growth, housing development, area renewal and the improved vibrancy of the city centre.

This person will support the Principal Regeneration Manager in delivering a portfolio of projects. A key element of this role will see you part of a multi-disciplinary regeneration team working closely with private sector partners as well as other relevant Council services to bring forward the regeneration of Osmaston in Derby.

We are looking for someone professionally qualified, or part qualified, with experience of working in a planning, housing, regeneration, economic development, surveying or related field. A successful track record in delivery is very important. As such you must be a competent Project Manager with good organisational, interpersonal and budget management skills. Confidence in negotiation and a high level of communication skills are essential. A good grasp of the statutory planning process and of how it can promote regeneration and experience of working in partnership with the private sector would be an advantage.

Compensation: Grade 10 – £34,746 to £38,405 – 37 Hours per week – Permanent
