Why British parks are ecological disasters & how they can lead a radical restoration

This passionate and eloquent 27-minute video is called “Time to go wild“.

It calls for “massive restoration” of Britain’s forests, ecosystems, and native wildlife.

The speaker is Guardian columnist George Monbiot, speaking at the UK National Parks Conference in Dartmoor, Devon, UK in 2015.

Monbriot explains why Britain has the lowest level of forest cover and biodiversity in all of Europe (and most of the world).

He also explains why reforestation and rewilding is the only sensible path forward for the UK.

The UK National Parks service should be congratulated for their courage in inviting Monbiot to call them irresponsible liars to their faces.
