In California, many Santa Cruz Mountain residents suffered unimaginable losses in the CZU Lightning Complex Fire in August of 2020.

Now, as the park naturally regenerates, a renewal program is underway to reimagine the park, using indigenous knowledge to create a revitalized, climate-resilient future.
