In Portland, Oregon, Home Forward seeks a general contractor/construction manager for the $22.9 million redevelopment of the Dekum Court public housing in Northeast Portland.
Proposals are requested from qualified Construction Managers/General Contractors for the provision of preconstruction and construction services to support the redevelopment of Dekum Court, a 5.5-acre public housing site at the intersection of NE 27th Ave and NE Saratoga St in the Concordia neighborhood.
Home Forward will accept proposals until December 11, 2019, 2:00 PM. Proposals should be delivered to the RFP Contact. Submittal requirements are described in the RFP.
Home Forward’s Development & Community Revitalization Department will redevelop Dekum Court. This is the first new construction project undertaken in the City of Portland funded by the $652.8 million Metro Regional Housing Bond passed by voters in 2018.
This RFP anticipates a pre-construction services phase that runs parallel to the design process followed by construction of 40 new housing units, relocation of the 40 households currently living at Dekum Court, and construction of 160 additional new housing units.
Home Forward has a goal of 20% participation by firms certified by the State of Oregon’s Certification Office for Business Inclusion & Diversity for all contracts. Interested COBID certified firms are encouraged to submit Proposals or participate as subcontractors.
