The city of Indio is in Riverside County, California, in the Coachella Valley of Southern California’s Colorado Desert region.
It lies 23 miles east of Palm Springs, 75 miles east of Riverside, 127 miles east of Los Angeles, 148 miles northeast of San Diego, and 250 miles west of Phoenix.
While its population is only about 90,400, it’s investing some $2oo million into its downtown revitalization.
