VIDEO: $2.7 million revitalization of Ash Crescent Neighborhood in Fort Worth, Texas engages residents, businesses and churches

The City of Fort Worth, Texas is working with Ash Crescent residents, businesses and churches on a $2.7 million effort to to revitalize the neighborhood.

The neighborhood is relatively small: just .56 square miles containing less than one percent of the city’s overall population. It has a high concentration of low- and moderate-income residents. Together with numerous indicators of distress like significant blight, inadequate public infrastructure, persistent public safety issues and low educational attainment, the neighborhood was deemed to be a prime candidate for improving the area’s vitality.
