VIDEO: Zachary, Louisiana hopes to revitalize its downtown by slowing traffic, but drivers and anti-change folks are having a hissy fit

A stretch of Main Street in Zachary, Louisiana has been reduced to 25 miles per hour as part of the city’s downtown revitalization project.

Mayor David Amrhein said the project goal is to bring more restaurants and retail shops to the area, as well as make downtown more walker friendly.

Not surprisingly, car worshipers and conservative, anti-change politicians are having a hissy fit.
